Adoption Requirements
Our goal is to find loving homes for the pets at the shelter so they will be given great care for the rest of their lives. If you are interested in adopting a pet from us, please be prepared to fill out our adoption application, and be sure to bring along the following information when you visit:
- An ID with your current address,
- The name and phone # of your landlord if you rent your home or apartment, as well as a letter from him/her saying you are allowed to have a pet,
- The name and phone # of the veterinarian you use for your current pets or will be using for your new pet.
We don't adopt our cats and kittens to people who want to declaw them. If you want a declawed cat, please consider adopting a cat who has already been subjected to this painful procedure and then given up. There are many declawed cats available for adoption on Petfinder.com.
Pets need veterinary care throughout their lives. Before deciding to adopt a pet, please be sure to you've budgeted not only for food, but also for annual vaccines and check ups, as well heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Please do not adopt a pet if you will not be able to provide it with ongoing care.
